As has been its tradition for many years, the SFA Group celebrates World Toilet Day by sponsoring initiatives that promote access to sanitation for all.

As a continuation of its 2023 actions, the SFA Group is providing financial support to the Sulabh School Sanitation Club to improve the quality of life in Indian schools. For 2024, the SFA Group is reaffirming its commitment with a donation equal to that of 2023, aimed at implementing concrete actions in three public schools in Sikkim, India: Rorathang Govt. Senior Secondary School, East Sikkim, Dikling Senior Secondary School, East Sikkim, and DalapChand Govt. Secondary School, Pakyong, East Sikkim.

Two of these schools have received complete restroom renovations for 200 female students, while the third school saw the refurbishment of a handwashing area for 100 female students. The goal is to ensure students have access to separate, well-equipped restrooms, facilitating menstrual hygiene management.

Access to clean, well-maintained toilets also helps reduce the risk of infections and disease transmission among students. Alongside these improvements, hygiene awareness and training sessions are conducted through practical workshops. Additionally, the availability and accessibility of sanitary products are essential for girls' school attendance, and these students will benefit from a platform that allows them to gather and share information and knowledge on managing menstruation with dignity, without fear or discomfort.
